About me

Picture of Thariq

I graduated from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, with a major in Electrical engineering and a minor in Physics. I am currently a graduate student in Physics at the University of Colorado, Boulder, USA. I work with Prof. Juliet Gopinath at the Optics and Photonics Research Group.

My primary expertise is in computational and experimental optics, in particular super-resolution microscopy and non-linear processes in integrated photonic devices. I have a fair amount of experience with circuit design and debugging, FPGA programming, and Linux systems. I have worked in clean rooms for on-chip optical device fabrication.

I think Physics is fun, and want Physics to be fun for everyone! I am privileged to have led a team of six as the manager of the Maths and Physics Club at IIT Bombay in the term 2017-18. Check out the club website and some of the blogs I've written here.
